[DS9] Season 5, Episode 10: Rapture

Sisko goes full Close Encounters. This episode gets around to being about Bajor entering the Federation, which up until this episode was almost a formality – until those rascally wormhole aliens start talking to Sisko. I never feel like DS9 handles the religious component of the show as well as other areas, and there’s a certain flatness here that I think stems from that.

Sisko is tryin to find a B’hala

Winn shows up. She’s such a sweetheart.

Kasidy comes back, but all Sisko can talk about is this danged B’hala.

He finds it!

Sisko keeps getting increasingly weird and prophet-ey. He even knows about Kevin!

He’s also dying, so he has to choose between keeping his cool visions or being alive. He’s leaning towards visions.

Bajor was a few minutes away from joining the Federation, but then Sisko comes in and warns them about some locust, so they pull out of joining.
