This is an episode of character building – but it doesn’t really affect the ongoing relationships in any discernible way. If it was more entertaining that wouldn’t be a problem, but it feels like filler.
Nog and Jake move in together.Which means they suddenly become two different ends of the Bad Roommate Spectrum.Odo and Quark have to climb a mountain or something. They keep telling us that its cold even though it is obviously not cold.One thing I’ve learned from Star Trek is that if you’re ever stuck with someone on a planet you have to be as annoying as possible.Quark/Odo banter is usually pretty good, but they’re stretching it thin in this one.Its the end of the episode so the characters are agreeing to not be total psychos anymore.Even these two are friends now, in a hateful kind of way.
