Honestly there’s just a lot of solid Data and general crew stuff in this Phantasms, so I like it. For an episode that features Data fully stabbing someone and invisible parasite bugs, the whole thing is surprisingly, and pleasantly, low stakes. Also a much more compelling exploration of Data’s growing humanity than, say, Descent.

Cellular cohesion is one of my favorite things about this crew, so this is a real drag to find out about.Geordi and Picard are able to plug into Data’s dreams and they also think they’re weird.They learn that all the imagery in his dreams are clues for defeating the invisible alien leeches. It’s probably the same for your dreams, think about itTroi makes a revenge cake.
