[TNG] Season 6, Episode 1: Time’s Arrow pt. 2
Rating: 3
The fun continues! The plot gets a little convoluted in this second half, but not in a way that significantly distracts from time-displaced goodness. Plus, I am an absolute sucker for scenes like Twain being shown the future of humanity, a highlight of the episode.

Notes:
Picard and crew go to the 1800s and pretend to be an acting troop that hasn’t paid rent for no reason other than the writers seem to think its very funny.
The bellboy reveals himself to be Jack London. Okay, star trek, calm down.
They meet up with Data and escape the cops via carriage!
Mark Twain has been investigating them and confronts them.
But then the aliens show up and Data’s head finally blows off.
The rest of the crew follow the aliens through their portal.
Except Picard who stays behind with Guinan. Honestly kinda anti-climactic since this is theoretically what they’ve been hinting at between Picard and Guinan for awhile.
They bring headless Data back to the ship.
Riker asks Guinan what gives.
Troi shows Mark Twain around the ship. Good use of Troi in these scenes.
The crew has to decide to try to rescue Picard or just blow up the alien cave to stop their incursions in time. Wait, couldn’t they have just blown up their cave in the beginning when they already knew they were harvesting humans? Anyway, good thing they didn’t because their weapons would just amplify their portals or something who cares
Picard leaves a message inside Data’s head. gross.
They fix Data and he relays the message.
For no reason, they can only send one person back from the past, so Mark Twain needs to go get Picard.
THE END!!
