[ENT] Season 4, Episode 15: Affliction
Rating: 3
Enterprise is really starting to wrap up the series, as much as that can be done, starting with this arc. The weakest part, by far, is Trip being real sad and leaving the Enterprise because he’s so sad and in love and whatever with T’Pol. It’s a real baby move that only leads to at best mildly annoying plot stuff for the rest of the series. The T’Pol/Trip relationship just doesn’t work well, so having a big part of the end of the series be devoted to it is a let down.
On the plus side, there’s more insight into Klingons, which you’d think would be done to death by now, but we get to meet a Klingon doctor, and it’s interesting to learn about how such a person fits into Klingon culture. And of course there’s some business about augments and how the Klingons lost their groove(s), which is all entertaining enough.
