[DS9] Season 4, Episode 15: Sons of MoghRating: 3
I love some Klingon intrigue, and Sons of Mogh serves up some pretty good stuff. Kurn starts to get pretty whiny though, and the resolution of his storyline is very odd and surprising. More about that below –

Notes:
Worf and Jadzia practice fighting together, and probably are in love. As far as flirty scenes in Star Trek go, this one isn’t too bad.
Worf’s brother, Kurn, shows up.
Because of Worf’s actions, Kurn lost all of his honor. He wants Worf to kill him because that gets him a bit of honor back I guess. Maybe like 25%? Hard to say how much honor is enough.
Worf says alright
Dax figures out what Worf was up to and saves Kurn. He’s not too happy
He needs something to do, so he starts working for Odo.
When Worf asks Odo if Kurn can have a job Odo makes it sound like there’s some beef between he and Worf. And then he’s kind of a jerk about how Worf is indebted to him. It’s a little strange since it seems like, in past episodes, Odo and Worf appreciated each other. What’s with all the posturing, Odo?
Meanwhile, Kira and O’Brien discover some funny business with the Klingons. What are they up to?
Kurn gets fired for trying to die at work.
They figure out that the Klingons are setting up cloaked mines. Worf and his brother have to sneak on the Klingon ship for some intel.
Worf has lost his edge.
It’s pretty cool when the Defiant starts blowing up mines and all the Klingon ships de-cloak and slink away.
Worf decides it would be best if Kurn’s memory was erased, and he was given a new life, and a new chance for honor. Wait what?? They can just do that?
I’m still not too sure how I feel about this. Clearly they wanted Kurn out of the way, so he was written to be as hopeless as he is in this episode. I don’t totally understand why he couldn’t get into Worf’s brand of Klingon honor, except that the writers didn’t want to deal with him, and didn’t want to let Worf actually kill his brother. Still though, couldn’t Kurn have died during a mission gone wrong or something?
When Kurn wakes up, he asks Worf if they’re related and Worf says he has no family 🙁
…does that mean no Alexander too?
