[ENT] Season 4, Episode 7: The Forge

The Forge kicks off one of the best Enterprise arcs which illuminates the beginning of a social and political transformation that the Vulcan people will undertake to become the Vulcans we know and love. Even though many viewers (understandably) found Enterprise’s portrayal of the Vulcans frustrating through out the majority of the series, seeing the “character” arc of an entire people is one of the more interesting achievements for Enterprise.

Notes:
Admiral Forrest and Soval seem to suddenly settle their differences. I hope it isn’t ’cause one of them is going to die or something.
A pillar falls over! Apparently it was the very beginning of a much larger explosion, that killed over 40 people.
The crew is bonding! Phlox is bonding from a little further away
They get word that Forrest died, and the suspects may be a fringe group of Vulcans called the Syrrannites
Reed and Mayweather find another bomb in the wreckage. Reed manages to scan
it
They find evidence that points to T’Pau!
T’Pol finds out her mother is in hiding because she’s a Syrrannite, but she sent T’Pol a hint on how to find her
They go to Vulcan and find a guy walking around in the desert
A lighting sand storm chases them!
Soval does a forbidden mind meld with a witness who is in a coma. Trip sneaks a peek.
They find out it was this guy. The one who was supposed to be investigating the incident.
They find out that this guy is a Syrrannite. He talks about having the katra of Surak…
Then he dies and transfers the katra to Archer. They don’t tell us that, but it’s pretty obvious.
Then they make it to the Syrrannites and TO BE CONTINUED
