[VOY] Season 4, Episode 3: Day of HonorRating: 2
Voyager continues to keep a pretty strong focus on Seven of Nine. This episode also establishes the beginning of B’Elanna and Paris’ romantic story line. Overall this episode feels pretty by the numbers. Even with a new character in the mix the writers seem trapped inside the same plot patterns firmly established in the franchise.

Notes:
Voyager comes across some aliens that have almost been wiped out by the borg. They ask for help.
Seven gets lonely and asks to help out somewhere. They stick her in engineering to mess around with the warp core.
It’s some kind of “Day of Honor” for Klingons, but B’Elanna doesn’t want to go through the traditions. Neelix, as morale officer, convinces her to give it a shot, which in turn makes her feel way worse. Great job, Neelix.
The traditions are mostly eating gross stuff.
When they break out the pain sticks, B’Elanna gets out of there.
Paris helped design the holo-program and he wants to hear about it. But B’Elanna doesn’t want to talk about it. Fight!
The alien hates Seven…
Something goes wrong with the warp core!
They eject it!
For some reason only B’Elanna and Paris go to retrieve the warp core in a shuttle, even though Voyager isn’t really doing anything.
hey those aliens are swiping the warp core
After a little fight, Paris and B’Elanna have to beam out into space to avoid blowing up.
The aliens are willing to trade the warp core for more medical supplies and food than Voyager was originally willing to give. Oh, and they also want Seven because they hate her.
Seven just invents some device so that they can have all the energy they want, and they trade for that instead. Good job writers!
B’Elanna and Paris think they’re about to die so they admit their love for each other.
…and then they’re saved.
