[TNG] Season 4, Episode 3: Brothers
Rating: 3
This episode continues the ongoing story with Data. The beginning is pretty cool, as well as some of the conversations between Data and his “father,” but things get a little silly any time Lore shows up. The sub-plot is entirely unnecessary.

Notes:
This kid got sent to the principal, aka Riker.
Data bugs out a little.
Then Data takes over Enterprise! It’s kind of like in Insurrection.
Not even Wesley can figure out how to overcome Data.
Data drives Enterprise to some location and then beams himself off of the ship.
A program was activated by Data’s creator to make him go home.
ugh Lore shows up too.
Back on Enterprise, there’s a kid named Willie Potts. He’s gonna die or something, but the main thing to remember is that the writers named a kid Willie Potts and expected us to take him seriously.
Soong is going to die too.
But he made Data an emotion chip, establishing an annoying plot point that’ll come up all the time later in the show.
Lore tricks Soong into putting the emotion chip into him.
Enterprise shows up, but it’s too late. Lore got away. Who cares though, the real question is what will happen to Willie Potts??
