[VOY] Season 3, Episode 19: Rise
Rating: 2
This episode isn’t very good. However, there are several parts where Tuvok beats up people so “Rise” is saved from getting a 1.

Notes:
Voyager is helping aliens shoot at meteors heading towards their planet.
Neelix and Tuvok crash on their planet. Some other people are there too.
Neelix goes outside and sees a space elevator. Luckily Neelix used to work on space elevators (?)
They go to the elevator and there’s a lady living there. They mainly talk about what needs to be repaired, but she holds a knife to Neelix’s throat the whole time. Can you blame her?
Voyager opens up a meteor. Someone’s launching these things in some kind of needlessly convoluted scheme!
Neelix gives the elevator a name. Tuvok reminds Neelix that they could die and maybe he should get back to work, yet I still get the feeling we’re supposed to be taking Neelix’s side on this.
One of the guys tries to start the elevator without everyone else.
They get on board, but they have to leave before everything is ready. I guess it’s hard to turn off once it gets goin’.
Neelix says it was actually just models of elevators that he used to work on. Again, and throughout this whole episode, we’re meant to side with Neelix and think that Tuvok is too hard on him.
A guy tries to punch Tuvok. This is the best part of the episode.
One guy was poisoned! Before he died he said there was something on the roof.
Neelix won’t continue to drive the elevator until someone checks the roof. They go back to the “instincts vs logic” battle that I’ve never been interested in. Neelix is also upset about how Tuvok talks down to him just because Tuvok is way cooler and better in pretty much every way
So Tuvok checks the roof, and there’s some data pad.
But then this guy pushes Tuvok!
But he’s still hanging on
Neelix manages to open the door, Tuvok beats up the guy, and knocks him off the elevator
Neelix bumped his head so he needs a pep talk before he can go back to driving (?) the elevator.
Oh also Voyager is fighting a ship and it turns out the enemy alien ship’s shield information was on the data pad on the roof. What luck!
