[TNG] Season 3, Episode 19: Captain’s Holiday
Rating: 3
Picard goes on vacation! It’s what Trek fans have been begging to see. The episode has an unusually large collection of story clichés, but what redeems the episode are Picard’s reactions to everyone bothering him. I love mean Picard!

Notes:
Cliché #1: Everyone keeps trying to get Picard to go on vacation.
Picard suggests some ways he might relax, and Beverly just tells him that those things are lame.
He goes to Risa and meets Vash, who annoys him with fake kissing so she can avoid somebody. …Ok, I’m not going to count all the clichés.
Everyone keeps bugging Picard, including Max Grodenchik (Rom). The way Picard handles him is pretty great. Also I think Grondenchik uses the same teeth for Rom.
There are some aliens from the future. They tell Picard that if he finds something sometime in the near future, give it to them. Will do, aliens.
He finds out that Vash is looking for that something. He goes with her.
Which means they fall in love. (Or at least kiss.)
They dig for it, but they don’t find anything. The future aliens just watch.
But then Vash had it all along. She just went on that fake expedition so people would stop bugging her about it.
The aliens come back and they want the thing! They don’t seem that nice anymore.
So Picard blows it up.
