[VOY] Season 3, Episode 18: Darkling

In Darkling we learn that Gandhi, Socrates, Byron, and T’Pau had a secret murderous side to them, I guess. Or that if you combine traits of a bunch of genius’ you get a psycho. This was kind of a silly episode, but not unwatchable enough to get a 1.

Notes:
The EMH is looking to add personality traits of great thinkers to his program.
One of them is T’Pau! It looks like they’re trying out some 7/9 style clothes on Kes. Maybe it’s so we barely even notice when 7/9 replaces her.
It’s briefly mentioned that Kes and Neelix broke up. Um, alright
The changes in the Doctor’s program make him a little kooky.
This guy brings Kes to see the sparkly rock. It means they’re in love.
Kes says she might want to leave Voyager.
The Doctor pushes Kes’s boyfriend off of a cliff, and then burns a guy’s hand!
Tuvok investigates what happened and for some reason this guy covers for the Evil Doctor…

Then the Doctor kidnaps Kes. …At least it looks like Robert Picardo is having fun.
The Doctor threatens to kill Kes. Kes says that he won’t do it because really all along the Doctor has been trying to protect Kes.
Yeah, but I guess not, because he jumped off the cliff with her. Luckily Janeway manages to fix a thing and beam them out the end.
