[ENT] Season 3, Episode 11: Carpenter Street
Rating: 2–
I guess this episode is fun, but it’s got some serious problems. Also, it’s not really that much fun.

Notes:
This guy comes home and immediately starts drinking beer and eats a pizza that he finds in the bathroom. I think they’re trying to tell us that he’s a loser.
Daniels shows up and says that some Xindi are in the 20th century on Earth. He wants Archer to go figure it out. I liked Daniels in the beginning, when I though he was mysterious. I’m starting to figure out that he’s just a really lazy time traveler who has no idea what he’s doing.
T’Pol asks why Daniels isn’t doing this himself. Archer says that Daniels had to go through a lot of clearance before interacting with Enterprise, and he doesn’t have time to go through the process again. Wait, what? You would think getting someone totally outside of this agency would be even harder…Why am I even thinking about this. We all know it’s just because Daniels isn’t a main character.
Archer is allowed to take one buddy on his time travel mission to earth, so naturally he doesn’t go with someone who would blend in, or has the slightest clue about earth, but rather the person who is best suited to make snarky comments about 20th century America
Suddenly the writers seemed to try really hard to come up with the details. They have to steal some money and a car. It’s actually kind of interesting pacing and directing through this segment of the episode. But why didn’t Daniels just teleport them somewhere within walking distance of the spot? I guess he couldn’t be bothered. Lazy bum!
This guy is kidnapping people for the Xindi. The Xindi want to collect a person from each blood type. Everyone’s gotta have a hobby
Archer catches the guy and formulates a plan to be his next victim in order to sneak into the abandoned warehouse that they probably could just walk into
I thought it was a little cool how they showed the motivations of people in this time period in contrast with the crew, with these 20th century people mostly selling themselves out for money. But then T’Pol ruins any subtlety and just tells us that we’re all bad people.
They catch the Xindi making their poison bomb
Archer sneaks up on one
And then he saves the planet or something. It looks like the Xindi just wanted to make the ninja turtles
See, this is all that would’ve happened
