Bareil was seriously injured!

Winn needs Bareil’s help with negotiating with the Cardassians because she doesn’t know what the heck she’s doin’.

Uhhf meanwhile Nog and Jake are going on a double date.

Bareil chooses to stay conscious for a few days rather than be put to sleep with the possibility of eventually being cured.

In an equally dire turn, Nog and Jake’s date doesn’t go that well.

Bareil is trying to live and stuff but Winn keeps bothering him about the negotiations.

Bashir asks Winn to stop bothering Bareil, but the negotiations are too important. Bashir suggests (and Winn doesn’t counter him) that she won’t do it alone because she can use Bareil as a scapegoat. Would that really work, blaming the guy that sacrificed his life?

Bareil gets a positronic implant, and it makes him all weird.

But he stays alive long enough to help Winn in the negotiations.

Bashir chooses to not make him full weirdo with another positronic implant, and instead lets him die.
