[VOY] Season 3, Episode 9: Future’s End Pt. 2
Rating: 2
I don’t really understand the villain in this episode. He’s got a time ship from the 29th century and all he’s managed to extract from it for his business are microchips and the internet. But he seems to understand and continually make use of holograms, better communication devices, and transporters. His whole motivation for evil-doing is that he’s desperate to get more stuff from the future to profit off of, but can’t he make a profit on those things? He’s also willing to risk the destruction of the solar system so that he can get new stuff because apparently he can’t figure out how to make replicator technology profitable. It didn’t seem like this story needed a second part. We just go back and forth with the villain being captured and escaping based on him either not understanding technology, or being more advanced with technology.

Notes:
Cyrus O’Dell is trying to get information from the doctor, but he mainly wants to tell him that he thinks Janeway is trying to steal his time ship because she wants the technology
He figures out a way to torture the doctor to get information. He just wants information on Janeway because he wants to “know the enemy”. So who cares, just tell him stuff about Janeway
The evil rich man gives the doctor a mobile emitter.
B’Elanna and Chakotay crash their shuttle and are captured by weirdos
Janeway transports Dr. Ehrlich to the ship and threatens to get his time ship. He says it’s rigged to explode and will destroy LA. I don’t understand this guy
“Cronowerk’s stock is about to crash.” Good one, Janeway
The doctor saves B’Elanna and Chakotay. He phasers everyone. They don’t seem to worried about contamination in this episode. That whole cliffhanger about people filming Voyager was just swept aside by saying that everyone thought it was a hoax
Paris and Sarah Silverman chase a truck that doesn’t have the time ship in it
The evil rich man gets back to his ship and takes off
Paris and Sarah Silverman fall in love or something
Voyager manages to destroy the drummer from Spinal Tap before he jumps to the future. And I thought he died in a bizarre gardening accident.
