Notes:
A space lady comes on board, knocks everyone out, and touches Spock’s head. She probably wants his brain!
Yup, they seriously steal Spock’s brain. Kirk only has 24 hours to get it back!
Kirk traces the space lady to the Draconis system. He has to choose between three planets she could be on, but none of them are developed enough to have her technology
They question an inhabitant with cool hair. It doesn’t take too long before Kirk asks about the women on the planet, but this guy’s never heard of women
Bones beams down with Spock, who is being remotely controlled
The controls on this remote could’ve been more clearly labeled. The button he’s pushing now is apparently the button to make Spock rotate to his left.
They go into a cave elevator
Chekov get’s locked outside of the cave, and for some reason doesn’t go back to Enterprise. They just wait around and start shooting rocks
Kirk doesn’t make it too far. The space lady still has a bracelet that can knock everyone out
Kirk wants Spock’s brain back! Hey, people on this planet like those melon cubes just like they eat on Enterprise
“Brain and brain! What is brain?!”
This is as good of a time as any to talk about this weird society they’re in. Everyone on this planet is supposed to be primitive, and they act like complete idiots. Bones said that they’ve maybe become even stupider because a super computer, which is controlled by a real brain, organizes their society and does all the thinking for them. The way this society is organized is that the women are in charge and have all the power, and they explain that they don’t think they would get the cooperation of the men if it weren’t for the women’s devices that inflict pain. A lot of this episode is just explanation of all the crazy stuff going on.
Both Sulu and Kirk are now calling this planet Sigma Draconis VII? In the beginning of the episode it was Sigma Draconis VI
One of the all time lame showdowns: this space lady versus Spock without a brain
For a minute the space lady has a phaser, but then Scotty pretends to faint and Kirk grabs it
Bones doesn’t know how to put a brain back into a person so he learns how to do it from “the teacher”
“A child could do it”
A few minutes later he forgets everything he learned from “the teacher” and he has to just wing it
They think maybe Spock would be really helpful with this so the hook up his vocals
