[DS9] Season 2, Episode 14 (Netflix: S2 E14): Whispers

This isn’t bad for an O’Brien episode. We get to see his expertise in action. It has a somewhat intriguing mystery, but the interesting part of the idea is saved for a twist ending in favor of some padded out action that takes up the majority of the episode.

Notes:
O’Brien’s going somewhere in a shuttle and says everything’s gone wrong. I think he’s gonna tell us what happened
O’Brien: “did you have sweet dreams darlin?”
Molly: “go away”
People aren’t being straight with O’Brien
He tries to investigate things but he can’t access stuff
He can’t trust anyone and they keep acting more suspicious. Time to get off the station. That’s a fierce face, O’Brien
He contacts an admiral but she just tells him to go back to the station
He goes to a moon and finds Sisko and Kira and some aliens
There’s another O’Brien! Turns out people were treating him oddly because he was a replica who thought he was the real deal. They handle the situation well, but I can’t help but feel this would’ve made for a great twist in the middle of the episode, and then explore ideas about the replica O’Brien more thoroughly.
