Notes:
Riker is given the opportunity to command the Aries.
Riker’s dad shows up. They don’t seem to get along real well
Pulaski almost married Riker’s dad. This is weird. It’s also too much of a coincidence
Riker confronts Pulaski about them having a history and Pulaski says “it wasn’t exactly a secret, it just never really came up.” Well, there was that one time Riker was making eggs with Pulaski and he started talking about his father
Worf is also having a problem this episode of yelling at everyone. Wesley, Data, and Geordi are trying to figure out what’s wrong
Picard says “stroyerian.” He makes it look really hard to say
Riker says goodbye to Troi. Come on, Deanna, do you really think he’s leaving the show?
Worf’s friends and Pulaski gather to watch him go through a Klingon ritual. Worf was upset because he thought he didn’t have anyone he could do it with
It mainly consists of people poking him with pain sticks
Riker and his dad decide they’d like to duke it out. Kyle Riker: “Anbo-jyutsu, the ultimate evolution in the martial arts.” They probably say this at the beginning of every match to make themselves feel less stupid
This fight could have been cool, like if it was similar to the fight at the end of Red River, or maybe like in The Big Country, in that they fight to exhaustion in order to sort out their differences. Instead it’s Anbo-jyutsu, the silliest thing ever thought up
