[ENT] Season 2, Episode 12 (Netflix: S2 E12): The Catwalk
Rating: 2
Most people will find this episode boring, but there are a number of solid concepts to almost make this episode a 3. I liked how the stakes for the climax were introduced early and subtly (the issue of the warp core heating the catwalk is a minor hurdle in the beginning, but becomes a big deal). I liked how the episode gives you a better sense of the ship, and the smallness of the crew. I also kind of like that it’s dealing with a natural phenomenon, although I realize that won’t interest most people.

Notes:
A storm is coming! Phlox says everyone’s gonna die cause of the radiation
Trip suggests they not die by camping out in the catwalk, which has more protection
There’s also some aliens that want to hang out with them until the storm passes
T’Pol says a Vulcan ship was nearly destroyed by a storm like this. Archer fact-checks her and finds out it was destroyed. I guess T’Pol didn’t want to freak people out
If this storm was chasing me, I would either fly up or down rather than follow it’s same course
I think Trip decorated the catwalk bridge with little wire-light-things. Great job Trip!
The aliens build a fort out of blankets
Interesting to see that the ipads in the future forget about slick styling and start using two big old-telephone-style buttons
Reed starts complaining about everything. Shut up Reed. He also starts fighting with Trip. I guess their bonding in Shuttlepod One didn’t stick
Trip has to go fix something and finds some aliens wandering around
They’re taking over the ship!. They were looking for those other guys!
“You’re sitting in my chair” -Archer trying really hard to sound tough
Mayweather drives the ship towards a more dangerous part of the storm and the aliens get scared away
