[ENT] Season 2, Episode 12 (Netflix: S2 E12): The Catwalk
Rating: 2
Most people will find this episode boring, but there are a number of solid concepts to almost make this episode a 3. I liked how the stakes for the climax were introduced early and subtly (the issue of the warp core heating the catwalk is a minor hurdle in the beginning, but becomes a big deal). I liked how the episode gives you a better sense of the ship, and the smallness of the crew. I also kind of like that it’s dealing with a natural phenomenon, although I realize that won’t interest most people.

Notes:

T’Pol says a Vulcan ship was nearly destroyed by a storm like this. Archer fact-checks her and finds out it was destroyed. I guess T’Pol didn’t want to freak people out

Interesting to see that the ipads in the future forget about slick styling and start using two big old-telephone-style buttons

Reed starts complaining about everything. Shut up Reed. He also starts fighting with Trip. I guess their bonding in Shuttlepod One didn’t stick

Mayweather drives the ship towards a more dangerous part of the storm and the aliens get scared away
