[DS9] Season 2, Episode 11 (Netflix: S2 E11): Rivals
Rating: 2
This episode isn’t that special or interesting. Nothing of any real consequence happens, and there aren’t any great character moments, but it isn’t painful to watch.

Notes:
The guy from princess bride is apparently a species that has special abilities to make people feel comfortable talking to them. They’re explained as a “listener” species.
Bashir does some embarrassing stretches.
Bashir and O’Brien play future-racquetball. Bashir always wins. That’s not exactly a “rivalry” like the title would suggest. O’Brien can’t stand Bashir again. I guess that means we can look forward to another episode where they get stuck together and learn to be friends
This guy, Martus, acquires a gambling “game”. The game is that it just lights up when you push a button.
Martus talks his way into partnering with someone and opens a casino right next to Quark’s place
Strange things start happening. Some people have really good luck and others have really bad luck. Everyone in Martus’ casino wins the jackpot at the same time. Then I guess no one wanted to go back to that casino for some reason
O’Brien manages to start beating Bashir but only because O’Brien was getting really lucky and Bashir was unlucky.
They figure stuff out
Quark ends up looking like a real pro when it comes to con-men and business.
