[TOS] Season 2, Episode 11 (Netflix: S2 E11): Friday’s Child
Rating: 3
Your opinion of this episode might depend on how forgiving you are of ridiculous outfits. One of my favorite story telling techniques is to not fill every shot with something that looks stupid. Maybe we’ve seen this one too many times, and are no longer shocked by the costumes, so we’ve started to appreciate the cool things about the episode. We like the situation created between the Klingons and Starfleet, we like some of the aspects of the aliens, and we like Bones.

Notes:
It looks like these costumes were built from the leftovers from 5 other dumb looking costumes they had laying around.
It didn’t take long before a red shirt goes down. The sound of their ninja stars flying through the air is comical
A Klingon is already on the planet. The Klingons and Starfleet are competing over the support of the aliens because they have a really important resource/plot device.
A ship is showing up on sensors. It could be a Klingon warship!
The leader has to decide who to side with. The Klingons understand them and relate to them better, but Starfleet is more honest…oh, and Starfleet won’t conquer their planet
When it looks like their leader might side with Starfleet, a coup breaks out
Kirk saves a lady from being killed, but he touched her which is against the law, so she wants him killed
Kirk actually throws a pillow at a guy.
Bones keeps trying to help her and she keeps slapping him. Bones slaps her back
Bones is a doctor, not an escalator
The tribe is looking for them, so they hide in a cave
Kirk decides they need to make better weapons. Toy swords aren’t good enough
So they make toy bow and arrows. Now they’re ready for anything
A sad baby was born
Kirk and Spock are outnumbered!
The lady goes out and says she killed the three of them while they were asleep. The Klingon wants to go check
They find it inappropriate that he doubts such a prestigious person. He starts zapping people
Kirk doesn’t like that guy.
Kirk: “There’s just one thing I want”
Spock: “The Klingon?”
Kirk: “One of us must get him”
Spock: “Revenge, captain?”
Kirk: “Why not”
This guy yells
It gave his friend enough time to ninja star the Klingon!
