[VOY] Season 2, Episode 8 (Netflix: S2 E8): Persistence of Vision
Rating: 2

I found most of the episode to be dull. The last third of the episode is better, and we get to learn about the characters based on their visions.

Notes:
Another gag where the doctor is small. He tells Janeway that she needs a break because everyone keeps bothering her with all the stuff she needs to do.
So she heads to her lame holo-novel
Then Janeway sees a cucumber sandwich!
She starts to see holodeck characters outside of the holodeck
So she pretends that she can’t see them
Things get worse
My favorite part of the episode is when Tuvok acts on his own during the communication with the hostile aliens
Then everyone starts to see visions and blank out. It’s kind of cool when the episode goes from completely focused on Janeway to a ship-wide incident
Kes and The Doctor might be the only ones still functional. Kes sees Paris dying, but she determines that someones trying to distract her
Kes’s visions get grosser
Kes has a vision of Neelix, but they establish that if Kes looks at the visions it does some kind of mirror thing and the vision ends. So we can only assume that since this didn’t happen when she looked at Paris that it was the real Paris, and she left him to die
It turns out it was all a trick by this guy. He looks sad
