[DS9] Season 2, Episode 1 (Netflix: S2 E1): The Homecoming

This episode has a cool prison breakout scene, but other than that it’s mostly set up for what’s to come. It wasn’t dull, and should be watched for continuity if nothing else.

Quark helps Odo. Odo doesn’t like this because he can’t figure out what Quark is up to. I like the relationship between Quark and Odo
Quark finds a Bajoran earring! It could mean a highly regarded resistance fighter named Li Nalas is still being held! That’s against the Cardassians agreement!
A Bajoran extremist group called “The Circle” likes to draw on walls
Kira and O’Brien go to rescue Li Nalas, but they detect bunches of Bajorans being held. Their transporter can only beam two people at a time so they plan a raid!
They talk their way into the camp. The key is to smile
Raid!
Four Bajorans with one phaser stay behind to cover the escape of Li Nalas. Kira later has to choose between waiting for these four to catch up and risk being caught, or leave them behind. I’m not sure why they couldn’t teleport them out. Did I miss something?
Dukat! He says he’s sorry about the whole keeping Bajorans as slaves thing. Won’t happen again.

Li Nalas’s reputation of heroics has been greatly exaggerated but Sisko convinces him to become a political leader for Bajor because they believe in him
Li Nalas was appointed to be the new liaison to DS9 instead of Kira! I guess we’re supposed to be worried, but I like Li Nalas
