Neelix despises Jetrel, and gets the sense that Jetrel is just trying to ease his conscience about what he did by trying to help Neelix and other Talaxians with a disease. Neelix takes the position that he would rather die than help Jetrel ease his conscience. For me, this dilemma is the high point of the analysis of Neelix’s hate/revenge/forgiveness theme, but it’s only about 24 seconds before we see Neelix going through with allowing Jetrel to scan him.
