This episode is very intriguing and has good build up. It might get a little dull in the second half if you had just recently watched “The Cage”.

This is a pretty intriguing start to an episode, with Spock’s odd behavior and all.

Visiting Talos IV is the only crime left that still warrants the death penalty!

At this point we’re watching Kirk and Spock watching the Talosians watching Pike and his crew. I hope we don’t find out that Riker is watching all of us in a holodeck or something.

To be concluded next week?! By the way, the threat that our heroes will face the death penalty by Starfleet for trespassing on a forbidden planet is about as unbelievable as stakes can get. But still, a cliffhanger!
