Wait, is this a Voyager episode? What’s happening? Why is this so boring? Since it’s season seven, it woulda been nice if maybe the crew figured out something was up with these diplomats or… some kind of twist on the thing we’ve seen so many times. Or maybe if the idea of these aliens that look pretty human but are actually super different – to the point that love, pleasure, and anger are totally foreign to them – was used in some way other than a plot twist and some dull high jinks. But no. Just one of those episodes where we as viewers are way ahead of the plot and characters.

He was just messin’ with him.The 3 ambassadors were sent to explore the core aspects of humanity: love, anger, and desserts.
