[TNG] Season 3, Episode 6: Booby Trap

I like the premise of Enterprise falling into an old trap left over from a war, and I like Picard throughout the episode. There are some silly parts involving Geordi’s love life, and a good part of the episode is taken up by working through a problem that is mostly techno-babble.

Geordi goes on a really awkward date. This guy is playing really close to them
Enterprise finds a ship left over from a war that happened 1,000 years ago. Picard wants to check it out himself!
Geordi goes to Guinan for advice on women. She says she likes bald men
They get caught in the same trap that paralyzed the old ship.
Geordi creates a simulation to help him figure out the problem. He inadvertently makes one of the designers of the warp core
They try shooting stuff. It just makes things worse. They’re getting hit with radiation that feeds off of energy
Several times during this episode Geordi tells a joke when either no one is around that will understand the joke, or no one is around at all.
They need to shut everything down except two thrusters and steer clear of the debris. Picard does it!
They blow up the old ship so no one gets caught again
