The Yomato sends a message to Enterprise asking for help. They’re in the Neutral Zone! They’re experiencing ship malfunctions. Probably because the captain is sitting on the Yomato’s hard drive.

The Romulans show up

Picard reviews the Yomato captain’s logs to find out more about why he was in the Neutral Zone. He says that he discovered Iconia, a planet belonging to an ancient super advanced race. He wanted to acquire their advanced technology so it wouldn’t fall into the hands of the Romulans. The ship malfunctions prevented him from going to the planet

Hey, he said “Tea, Earl Grey, hot” not “Plant, orange and spiky, room temperature.”

Geordi has to tell something to the bridge that will save everyone. He get’s tossed around on the elevator ride

Kind of a lame scene with Pulaski. All the technology is messing up so she shares her old-timey wisdom on splints. The other doctor thinks it’s crazy nonsense

Geordi gets electrocuted by a control panel, and Data throws him away from it. This is a rough episode for Geordi

The Romulans seem to be having the same problems as Enterprise.

Data, Picard and Worf beam to the surface of Iconia and find some kind of control room

The room controls a gateway that cycles between locations. One of them is to the Enterprise!

Data gets zapped, but still has to talk Picard through the process of destroying this technology. The scene works really well

Geordi figures out a solution to the ship malfunctions. You just restart the computer. Hey that’s what I do when there’s a problem too!

Picard has to go through the gateway a bit early because everything was blowing up. He ends up on the Romulan ship

O’Brien manages to find Picard’s location and he beams him over. They also help the Romulans to fix their ship
