[DS9] Season 2, Episode 4 (Netflix: S2 E4): Invasive Procedures

We get another look at Trills. They establish that not every Trill gets a symbiont (only 1 in 10). It’s a sad story for the 9/10, which is depicted in this episode, and makes Jadzia seem a bit more special. “Invasive Procedures” also tackles some strange nuances in the relationship between a symbiont and it’s host.

It was all because Quark made a deal. It’s hard to believe Quark would do something THAT bad. Greed is one thing, but getting your friends killed?
This guy wants the Dax symbiont
So they give it to him
Sisko tries to reason with Verad Dax, since they’re old friends now
Quark attacks a Klingon
Was it Quark’s plan to get injured while attacking, have Bashir request help in fixing him, and have Bashir knock out the guy? Glad it worked out
They release Odo!
They figure out that Odo has been freed and try to get out of there. Kira: “If Odo’s free, there’s no way you’re getting off this station”
Hmmm, that’s weird. The ship is gone and there’s a random cart sitting in the airlock. I wonder if it’s Odo.
Dax is returned to Jadzia before she dies!
