Conversation topic 3: Reed want to be cut loose. Reed’s annoying defeatism returns, only this time it has a layer of “I’m ready to be a hero” on top, which makes it even more annoying. This makes some sense given the story but it isn’t presented well. Reed is too pushy about dying and that’s there being no other way. It’s irritating seeing this when everyone knows he isn’t going to die.
