This episode is fun and entertaining! Most people accept that, and are more likely to be surprised that we didn’t give it a higher rating. We didn’t find a lot that pushed it into the “great” category, but it’s not impossible to persuade us to give a higher rating. We’d love to hear your thoughts.

They run out of their balloons so they have to go into town

Like most time travel episodes to the past, we get to hear the characters witty comments about us dumb humans

Like most episodes involving the past, we get to hear the characters’ witty comments about us dumb humans. Yeah look at you! You can’t even keep your space ship from crashing!

They win some money playing pool. He had never played it before, but don't worry, it's simple geometry and wouldn't challenge a Vulcan child. Somehow he even knew the rules regarding the 8 ball. I guess Vulcan children could've guessed those as well

Trip is starting to doubt T’Pol’s story

The one character likes to watch TV. If they stay on earth long enough they might be able to catch TOS. I'd bet they'd like that show

Mestral goes on a date

T’Mir watches the date. Creepy

Mestral wants to use compassion. That’s a human thing!

He saves some miners with technology

Their distress signal was received. They’ll be saved!

There’s also this guy. He wants money to go to college

T'Mir breaks her own rules and invents Velcro to get money for the kid

T’Mir breaks her own rules to get money for the kid. Her rule was to not invent Velcro for humans

Mestral wants to stay on earth because humans are awesome!

Trip questions the story further. I think T’Pol started to realize that humans are sounding way too cool in this story so she pretends like she made it all up.
